I have a Masters degree from Wright State University in secondary education. I have the equivalent of a biology undergraduate degree from WSU and Cedarville University. I have taught 26 years in secondary schools. I have attended the annual Genetics Update Conference for 10 years. I have attended a number of professional workshops for AP biology and STEM classes at Virginia Tech, Ferris State (MIchigan), University of Cincinnati, Sinclair Community College along with workshops at National Science Teachers Conventions. Experience
I have taught AP Biology for 8 years and A & P for 15 years. My AP classes typically received 4.0 averages on the AP test. I also was an AP Biology Reader (we grade the essays on the AP exam) for 5 years. I am currently retired and love teaching, especially one on one since precise questions and issues can be addressed. I currently give help to my friend's children and have tutored for 2 years.

Hobbies
I love nature--short hikes on trails and bicycling between Yellow Springs and Cincinnati hubs. I adore Isaac Asimov--best sci-fi writer of all time, IMO. Obviously, I like sci-fi movies. I saw "The Martian" after reading the book which was much, much better than the movie!! Nutrition and healthy eating is also a passion of mine--that is another discussion for another time!!! Let's just say "no processed food!"
