I received my bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in French from Marietta College. As an undergraduate student, I worked as a tutor, helping students struggling with political science, writing, speech, and French. After graduation I began working with nonprofit organizations. I am now pursuing a master's degree at American University. I tutor several subjects, including elementary math, algebra, reading, writing, essay writing and editing, phonics, literature, grammar and mechanics, American history, social studies, political science, all levels of French, and associated AP- and IB-level courses. I also help students prepare for standardized exams such as the GRE, ISEE, HSPT, and SSAT. Additionally, I can help students who want to work on general study and organizational skills.My tutoring style is to help students build their skill base, as opposed to simply teaching them how to solve a specific problem or assignment. I believe education should be fun, and I try to ensure the learning environment and lessons reflect that.During my free time I enjoy hiking, yoga, reading, road trips, running, and traveling.
